RedZone Football offers training programs to facilitate skill development, guide players to expand their knowledge of the game, use the sport to instill personal character, and inspire players to feed a growing love for the game. In order to boost their position in the industry, RedZone collaborated with Kevin Mellen to reinvent their brand and identity.

Former Hawkeye and RedZone owner Tyler Blum sought a modern and recognizable identity that resonated with his growing flag football brand. Tyler and Kevin collaborated, reviewing inspirational sports icons to develop options.

The “red zone,” the area near the goal line where scoring a touchdown is the ultimate objective, inspired Kevin to create an this unique identity mark. The letter “Z” is cleverly incorporated within the letter “R” to emphasize the brand’s messaging “within” the red zone. The italicized custom font adds a dynamic touch, capturing the sport’s fast-paced action.

To differentiate league play, a sub-brand identity was also developed. This combination mark features the league name wrapped around a football with the overall brand “RZ” identity embedded within.

Beyond the field, the brand’s promotion extends to custom apparel, icons, and a league sub-brand, fostering community engagement and brand awareness.
